Organized by Indian Hill High School and Cincinnati Country Day School students, SOTENI's Kilometers for Kenya bike ride will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to noon. The 10K or 20K ride/walk/run will begin in Historic Loveland in the parking lot of the Montgomery Cyclery Store adjacent to the Little Miami Bike Trail. The store is located at 116 Karl Brown Way (45140).

Proceeds from the event will benefit SOTENI's Sponsorship Program, which enables 40 AIDS orphans in Kenya to go to school. SOTENI's sponsored children are some of the most destitute and at-risk young people in our four Villages of Hope.  By participating in Kilometers for Kenya, you can help make a major difference in these children's lives.

A pre-event registration donation of $15 for 13 years & older and $10 12 years and younger can be made on our website.  Pre-registration is strongly recommended.  On the day of the event, registration is $20.00.  This is a family affair.  All ages are welcome and encouraged to participate.  If your bike or biking skills are "rusty," walkers and runners are also welcome. (Bike Rental is available through Loveland Bike Rental.)  The event is non competitive. It's just a fun way to spend a Sunday morning -- cruising the bike trail amid the brilliant fall foliage, breathing the crisp morning air and having a blast with your friends and family. You'll be doing good and feeling good!
